The District asked us to re-design their logo to coincide with the re-launching of their popular award-based program. The logo needed to include a light bulb shape, the District’s brand colors, and the program’s name and tagline. Because the District protects our environment by cleaning our wastewater, a feeling of nature was desired as well.
Ultimately, the final logo was chosen because of the abstract leaf and water droplet that we integrated into the bulb, and a figurative bulb base and drop shadow anchor the “nature” bulb to a perceived flat surface.
The two runner-up logos to the right were clever. They use puzzle pieces to represent the concept of people and ideas coming together. However they lacked that important environment-friendly feeling that the winning logo possessed.
The relaunching of the program was a huge success and the ideas have been flowing in ever since!
