With over 25 years working in visual communications, Melissa is a tech savvy digital artist who believes her clients deserve the best possible experience and results.
Melissa’s uncanny ability to bridge design and technology has lead to a diverse career with exposure to a wide variety of projects in graphic design, web, social media, and video. She is an accomplished creative who applies strategic thinking, brand sensitivity, and conceptualization skills to deliver impactful visual solutions that strengthen brands and influence target audiences.
She is part planner, part problem solver, part communicator, part psychologist, part designer, and part developer who answers to Digital Diva and the Website Whisperer.
Melissa graduated from NYC’s Parson’s School of Design in the early ’90s with a degree in fine art – you know, fine art like those pretty paintings hanging on your walls. After graduating, she quickly discovered that she liked to eat so she purchased her first Apple computer. Melissa proceeded to teach herself web design and development in a time when there were less than 10,000 websites total! She still has her very first email address from 1994…can you say digital hoarder?
It was during these early years that Melissa learned her mission in life: to make the world (including the world wide web!) a more beautiful and engaging destination.
Along the way Melissa worked at high energy print shops, branding, marketing, and ad agencies around New York City and Denver where she served foreign automakers, Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies. Melissa performed alongside C-suite executives as an eMedia Director, honing her skills in branding, communications, graphic design, web design and development, and business development. In 2004, she joined her business partner at All Terrain Video and rebranded the company as All Terrain Studios to include her service offerrings.
Long ago Melissa earned the nickname the Digital Diva by her peers for her ability to figure out complex digital topics and explain them in plain English. More recently a client referred to her as the Website Whisperer because she can coax a website into doing whatever her client needs.
When Melissa is not designing and developing websites, editing episodic broadcast programs, or creating logos, she enjoys painting pretty pictures (gotta use that degree!), pretending to snowboard, trail running as much as possible, and throwing the squeaky toy for her puppy. Throwing that annoying squeaky thing far, far, far away.
